Social Networking….Privacy

I’m sure you’ve seen over the last few days that FaceBook encountered some problems with the sharing of user information.  Now congress has stepped in and is asking questions about FaceBook’s privacy policies.  Hmmm…now the government wants to get
involved?
Ok folks, let’s face some reality here. FaceBook is a social network where you share tons of information. Yes, it is wrong that the some of the gaming developers passed on user information, but in defense of FaceBook, they did issue a stern warning about sharing user information.
Have we seen the end of this problem?  My best guess is…no. We have not seen the end of things like this. FaceBook, along with the other social networks, will always have one sort of problem or another with user’s information.
So what do you do?  If you troubled with the possibility of your information leaking out, then stay out of the social networking arena, it’s that simple.  However, if you can’t live without social networking, my advice to you is, only give out the information that you want the whole world to see.
